Canadiens sign Nate Clurman to one-year, two-way deal

Nate Clurman will look to break through in Montreal.

The 27-year-old defenceman signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens, the team announced Tuesday.

Clurman played 31 AHL games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last season, recording 11 points (2 goals, nine assists) and 20 penalty minutes.

The right-shot blue-liner also made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins on December 29, finishing the game with two penalty minutes and four shots on goal.
