Dr. Joel L. Boyd – TRIA Orthopedic Center
Dr. Joel L. Boyd serves as an orthopedic consultant for all O2K clients. Dr. Boyd is in his sixth season with the Minnesota Wild as orthopedic surgeon, and is also the team physician for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. In addition, Dr. Boyd is a United States Olympic team physician and most recently was the team doctor for the 2004 U.S. World Cup Hockey Team. In the past Dr. Boyd has worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) and Lynx (WNBA). In 1998, Boyd was the team physician for the U.S. men’s and women’s Olympic hockey teams in Nagano, Japan.
Dr. Boyd completed his undergraduate work and received a Master of Science degree from Bucknell University and graduated from Temple University Medical School. He completed his orthopedic training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and his fellowship training at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Currently Dr. Boyd, who is a member of the Board of Directors, and his group The Orthopedic Center, which is a group of highly specialized, board certified orthopedic surgeons serving the orthopedic, sports medicine and rehabilitative needs of today’s amateur and professional athletes, are working out of the TRIA Orthopedic Center, one of the nations most recognized outpatient orthopedic facilities.

Dr. Boyd and his staff have created a first of its kind state-of-the-science outpatient orthopedic center that is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. TRIA includes a surgery center, general and sub-specialty clinics, rehabilitation services and an education/research facility all in one location.

TRIA Orthopaedic Center, Minnesota’s first-of-its-kind outpatient orthopaedic center and is the new home of Dr. Boyd and his group The Orthopaedic Center which is a group of highly specialized, board certified orthopaedic surgeons serving the orthopaedic, sports medicine and rehabilitative needs of today’s patients - from the moderately active to the professional athlete. The physicians at The Orthopaedic Center serve as team physicians for the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Lynx and select Minnesota college teams.
